Health & Physical Education

At Kulap Primary School, Health and Physical Education is an engaging and essential part of the curriculum, helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead healthy, active, and balanced lives. Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, our program covers both physical education and personal, social, and community health, supporting the growth of students’ physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

In Physical Education, students participate in a variety of activities including fundamental movement skills, team and individual sports, fitness challenges, and outdoor recreation. These experiences develop coordination, strength, endurance, and confidence while promoting teamwork, fair play, and resilience. In Health, students learn about nutrition, safety, emotional regulation, relationships, and decision-making, helping them understand themselves, their emotions, and their responsibilities towards others.

Our lessons are designed to be inclusive, practical, and relevant, giving students opportunities to apply what they learn in real-life contexts. Through structured activities, cooperative games, and wellbeing programs, students build personal and social capability, develop healthy habits, and learn to make informed choices about their own health and safety. At Kulap Primary School, Health and Physical Education empowers students to lead active, balanced, and respectful lives, both in school and beyond.
