At Kulap Primary school, we implement School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students. SWPBS is a whole-school framework that promotes positive behaviour through clear expectations, consistent routines, and recognition of students’ efforts and achievements. Students are explicitly taught the behaviours that help them succeed socially and academically, and these are reinforced across classrooms, playgrounds, and school activities. Staff use consistent strategies to guide students, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate successes, helping to build responsibility, respect, and resilience. By adopting SWPBS, our school ensures that all students have the opportunity to thrive in a respectful, structured, and encouraging environment that aligns with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and supports wellbeing and engagement.
