At Kulap Primary school, we teach the Respectful Relationships program as part of the Victorian Curriculum, supporting students to build positive, healthy, and respectful connections with others. This evidence-based initiative is designed to develop students’ social, emotional, and relationship skills across all year levels. Through age-appropriate lessons and discussions, students learn about empathy, inclusion, problem-solving, emotional regulation, gender equality, and standing up against bullying or discrimination. The program links closely to the Health and Physical Education and Personal and Social Capability curriculum areas, helping students understand their rights and responsibilities in fostering respectful interactions. By embedding Respectful Relationships into our everyday practices, we aim to create a safe, inclusive, and caring school culture where every student feels valued and supported to thrive.
